Description
The Oak & Otter Retreat is a wonderful, south-facing, waterfront cottage located in the Lake Sunapee region of New Hampshire. Situated on the 190 acre Otter Pond and available year-round, this cottage is the place to enjoy all that the area has to offer, from quiet sunsets on your own private dock, swimming and canoeing the waters, leaf peeping New Hampshire’s fall foliage, to ice fishing on a sunny winter day, or hitting the nearby slopes of Mount Sunapee. Perfect comfort and amenities for all, no matter the weather. This property offers the best of both worlds, as it is close to shops and restaurants, yet private enough to enjoy all the solitude and peace the lake has to offer.
The house has been recently renovated, and has two bedrooms, one with a queen bed, and the other with a set of bunk beds and an additional twin. The bathroom boasts radiant floor heating, plus a heated towel rack for your added comfort. Spacious and inviting with seating for eight, the living room will be a favorite for all, and with an expansive view of the lake you’ll feel right at home. The updated kitchen has a breakfast bar, and comes fully equipped for ease of use, and your convenience. The large dining table seats eight, and is perfect for family meals, or perhaps an intimate dinner, and the propane fireplace will help set the mood! If you prefer to dine outdoors you will enjoy the deck complete with picnic table, umbrella, and grill. So, whether a romantic trip for two, or a much needed family getaway, we look forward to welcoming you to this rare gem on the water, where you will make memories to last a lifetime.
Please note: Water is fed from the pond from 10/15 to 5/15 and should not be used for drinking or cooking.
